Some years ago, I fell in love with storytelling. I knew that my heart was tugged by the thought of documentary and lifestyle sessions, that really encapsulated reality, everyday life, love, and memories. So, I quietly tucked aside the idea of mini sessions, thinking that maybe they were just a bit too short to really tell a story. But recently, I discovered that re-entering the world of mini sessions just might be what I wanted, after all. I began dreaming…Maybe I could find a way to photograph little ones in a playful, slightly shortened atmosphere.
What if? That’s where a dream always begins, isn’t it? What if a cozy blanket, whole vegetables, and natural light was all that we needed to interest adorable little ones, and produce images that have an earthy sense and element. Turns out, we can. Turns out, I kinda fell in love with this nature-inspired session. Turns out…themed sessions can be pretty amazing.
This darling mama, Susanna (a photographer who you can find curating her incredible feed on Instagram) is an impressive woman, incredibly talented, and lover of all things art and earth. She has a beautiful sense of style, and even her words have a poetic ring. She has twin boys who are darling, and so photogenic! They were eager to get their hands on these stunning vegetables, and I love the way the details came out. This shoot was rich with unique colors, textures, and emotions, and I hope you’ve caught my vision.
I’m working on putting together my first nature-themed petite sessions, and cannot wait to fill them up with sweet families! Please stay tuned for location, available times and prices.
