I was lucky enough to spend the afternoon recently with this gorgeous gal, traipsing around downtown Medford, in search of pretty light and drier conditions! We met up on a rather gloomy day for her senior session, but I’ve learned to work these sort of conditions by utilizing concrete to reflect light, and finding parking garages to produce even skin tones and keep my clients out of the rain! I enjoy a good challenge from time to time, and unknown variables usually present me with just that. Shawntish is a senior from Brookings, Oregon, and is a total delight. She’s beautiful, smart, kind, and lovely, and I am so grateful she trekked over from Brookings to have me do her shoot. She chose simple, solid colors for her session, that looked beautiful and so classy, and really brought out her smile. I cannot wait to see where her future takes her, and I know it’s surely bright.
Senior sessions are something I really love to do, because I love the warmth and energy of these young people. Though I am still young myself, I am always inspired to hear about their hopes and dreams, and to find out what they are pursuing after high school. Senior shoots are also easygoing, creative, and fun, and are a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of wedding season. I am looking forward to the rest of October, and more senior sessions to come!
