Over the past few years, I’ve been learning more and more about Ayurveda (means “the wisdom of life”) and it’s been fairly life-changing for me. I love that the Ayurveda approach to medicine and healthcare is focused on the holistic person, and not just the prevention of disease. It also focuses on body, mind, and spirit, and uses ancient principles of Vata, Pitta and Kapha, and helps you view your health through these three “lenses”. One of the reasons I’ve become passionate about the holistic care of the body is because I’ve been working with a company called Banyan Botanicals for the last few years, and it’s been a really rewarding experience. They are wonderful to work with, and I love capturing the spirit of their core values and mission of health with my recent commercial photography.
They are in the middle of preparing a new product catalogue (and wow, do they have a lot of offer! I can’t wait to look through it myself!), and they flew me to New Mexico, where their warehouse is. I was lucky enough to meet and photograph some of their faithful ambassadors, and to utilize this jaw-dropping landscape for their promotional photographs. I have been motivated to explore and incorporate more yoga and meditation into my life since working with this company, and I’ve found great energy and happiness working with people whose passion is health and wellness.
