| to sum it up, to sum her up |
Sarasvati Hewitt / a woman of words / a creature of adaptations and exceptions / f ollower of a true heart / one badass momma
I’ve slowly edited these images for last few months. I fell in love with this sessions, this women, with photography, all over again. I simply didn’t want this session to end.
But it was time. It is time.
This gal is based out of Portland, Oregon but travels leading workshops to other communities and is currently in Alaska doing just that. She has a passion for helping herself and others live a little more calmly in the chaos of everyday.
She writes “I believe Yoga is For Everyone but that your practice can be more individualized and therapeutic. Yoga is IN YOU ALWAYS waiting to be awaked. All you need is a path to healing yourself.”
I called her in a mild panic recently to ask how she managed to juggle all of her responsibilies as an instructor, a momma, a creative entrepreneur. She advised I just meditate for 15 minutes everyday, that was it. Seemed like a simple task, right? Hardly. I am not comfortable in stillness or quiet. But I did. And what I found that while I wasn’t the zen cool lady pants that I had hoped to be, I was more mindful in my daily affairs. Sadly, I didn’t keep it up.
But after 6+ flights in 2 weeks, I’m thinking I ought to get back to a few moments of stillness.
This gal is motivating. She is the Oregon ambassador for MANTRA Yoga & Health. Her website is awesome and can be found @ www.sarasvatihewitt.com
and here are some pictures. and I LOVE them.
Amazing art of the human body and beautiful lady. I will be one of her students this week for my introduction to yoga 🙂
She is a wonderful, wonderful woman.
